A rich flavoured mushroom with a meaty textures, these mushrooms are similar to flat mushrooms in size. They can grow up to 10 centimetres in diameter. Underneath the cap of this mushroom are dark gills that give Portobello mushrooms a distinctive appearance for identification. They are delicious when grilled, broiled, or sautéed due to the Smokey earthy flavour they have. 

Health Benefits - Low in calories, a good source of fibre and high in protein and antioxidants. They are a good meat substitute.
